How to Update Resident Balances in Sunbound
1. Open the Private Pay area 0:09
- From the Sunbound home screen, click Private Pay on the left-hand side.
- This is where you can update balances during the preview phase before auto-pull occurs.
2. Find the resident and review the current balance 0:14
- In the resident list, locate the account you need to adjust.
- The balance shown on the right should match the amount on the resident’s statement.
- Sunbound typically invoices around the 20th–23rd, so this is the amount that will be pulled unless it changes before auto-pull.
3. Update the amount if the balance changed 0:40
- If the resident’s balance changed after the statement was received, update it here so the correct amount is pulled from the bank account.
- Make sure any corresponding adjustment is also entered in your EHR or handled by your AR team, depending on your location.
4. Edit and confirm the new balance 0:52
- Hover over the resident’s name and click the pencil icon.
- Enter the new amount that should be pulled for the month.
- Click the check mark to save and approve the change.
- A confirmation message will appear once the update is successful.
- The resident will also receive a notification that their balance was updated.
5. Use the Accounts view for additional balance actions 1:17
- Go to Accounts to view all residents at the building.
- Click a resident’s name to see their current balance.
- Use the three-dot menu to take additional actions, such as:
